We are pregnant after a final ectopic in November last year, treated by methotrexate.
Last time the consultant said wait three months, try again and come back in at 5 weeks for an early scan. Reading other posts it seems that 5 week scans are often inconclusive.
I ovulated on 24 the march so am taking that as my conception date which makes me 12 days preg. So do we count that as 2 weeks pregnant or is it counted as 5 weeks as I’m 5 weeks since the first day of cycle (my cycles are typically 34-36 days)??? On some sites I’ve seen that doctors count weeks 1-2 as part of number of weeks pregnant even though it’s just when your body gets ready to conceive. I’d really appreciate any advice on this. The EPU were very disorganised last time and I have a hard time trusting them. Many thanks for your help!
Hi I had a early scan was about 4-5 weeks pregnant the scan showed a sack and yolk and she checked my tubes were clear…so you can see from that eearly on they will ask you to go back in2 weeks aas well so at 6 weeks you see the heartbeat…hope this helps congratulations x
The weeks are counted from the first day of your last period, not from (when you think) your conception date is. So that would make you 4-5 weeks now? Good luck xx
Yep, it’s taken from 1st day of last period. I’ve just found out I’m pregnant after a ruptured ectopic 9 years ago, my previous hospital would call me in as soon as I found out I was pregnant for early-scan but my new hospital won’t scan me till 22nd so I’m trying not to be nervous!!!
