Postive afte fet

Hiya

I have posted on here a few times last year when I had a ectopic from a natural pregnancy and my left tube removed

We have been doing fertility treatmnet since and I have had just got my first Postive from a frozen embryo transfer

Although I have been feeling some pulling and twinges , ache on my right side where my remaining tube is and my mind is going wonders I’m only just hitting 4 weeks so it’s very early I’m worrying like no tomorrow I heard that it’s normal to feel aches and pulls and twinges where your remaining tube is after an ectopic ? I have had a little on and off pain but I have had that since the ectopic itself and I have had so many scans I know it’s ok. Just scar tissue I assume.

Hi Abilouise,

Whispered congratulations on your pregnancy, but I am so sorry that you are going through this stressful time.

It is normal to feel nervous in pregnancies following ectopic pregnancies. As I’m not medically qualified, I can not comment on your specific situation. However, in these early days of pregnancy, it is also very common to feel twinges and some ladies do spot during early pregnancy too. However, it’s also important to monitor these symptoms and seek medical advice if these symptoms continue or worsen.

It is good that you are continuing to be monitored closely. As hard as it is in these early days of pregnancy, I hope you can get some rest and relaxation as well. We are here for you for as long as you need.

With good wishes,

Michele

Hi Abilouise, I just came across your post and feel like I could have written it…! I had an ectopic early 2020 and lost my right tube to it… I’ve just got my positive after a FET and am 4w3d. It’s been a long process with lots and LOTS of waiting to get to this point. I’m so happy to have a positive after our first FET, but very cautious and know that it’s only a step in the right direction. I’m so aware of all sensations in my pelvic area since the ectopic and have twinges and pulling sensations. With my ectopic I didn’t find out I was pregnant until the day I got pains at 7w.

Anyway, what I was wondering is how are you finding it now? I hope things have progressed well for you since you wrote this post? How have you managed the anxiety and nerves that come with pregnancy after ectopic? Did you get an early scan to confirm location and if so, how far along were you?
