I’ve just found out I am pregnant again after having an ectopic pregnancy last year at 6weeks and having my left tube removed.
I’ve only known for a few days, but in those few days, I have started getting pains in my right side. They are not extreme, and come and go. Often drifting into my thigh and my back. I keep getting myself worked up that it’s another ectopic, as the pain feels so similar to how it started before. I am terrified of it happening again.
I do have an early scan booked in for tomorrow, but I just can’t help bit panic at every niggly feeling I get.
Dear Dragonrider,
How did your early scan go?
It is really common for us to feel twinges in pregnancies following ectopic pregnancy. I hope the scan brought some reassurance and we are.here for you.
Sending much love,
Karen x

Hi Dragonrider,
Would love to know how this panned out for you. I am in the same boat - I got pregnant quite quickly after the removal of my right tube, I am currently 4 +2 if my app is correct. I am having the pains and twinges on both sides and some lower back pain which is really similar to how I felt last time. Really hard not to get yourself worked up and stressed over it!!
Hi Hayley
I am also on the same boat. I’m around 4 weeks just now and found out 4 days ago so still really early. I’m having lots of low down cramps and some twinges on each side. It’s a really nerve wracking time and the wait for the 6 week scan seems ages soo long away!! X
Did you guys get positive on the urine tests? In my last EP i got negatives and the blood test after a few days was positive. Period is late
Hi Aisha
I responded to this as I was in the same boat. However I am now 8.5 weeks pregnant and have had a couple of reassurance scans and everything so far looks as it should.
I did get positive tests quite early on as we had been trying so I tested 3 weeks after my period.
Hope all works out for you xx
Dear rs1995,
I just wanted to pop in and say congratulations on your pregnancy and for posting your experience to reassure others too.
Wishing you a smooth pregnancy,
Karen x
