I am 6 weeks pregnant after my second cycle of IVF having previously experienced 3 ectopics, right tube removal and a miscarriage. I am waiting for my 6 week scan which is this Friday but have some stabbing pain on and off on the side of my remaining Fallopian tube, extreme fatigue and really terrible trapped wind. I can’t help but worry that it is another ectopic. My HCG levels have been good so far but this wait is driving me insane. Especially as 3 of my close friends and my younger sister are all pregnant now and I want to join that club so much. Any advice or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Worryingly I have forgotten how many ectopics it has been (too many) it has been 4 ectopics, with one tube removal, a miscarriage and a previous failed cycle of IVF.

Isn’t IVF where the implant the egg and the sperm straight into the womb (no chance of ectopic) I know with IUI the good sperm is put back when you ovulate to give you the best chance of conceiving. Or am I totally wrong?!
I hope it all works out. I am currently 4+4 weeks pregnant after an ectopic and a miscarriage and am experiencing twinges on both sides but mainly the ectopic side so I know how worrying this wait for a scan can be. Xx
Unfortunately although they put the fertilised egg back in the uterus, until it implants there is a risk it can travel up to the top of the uterus then get sucked in by the tube. I don’t think it’s ever easy whatever you have! Today no symptoms at all which worries me just as much! Just hoping and praying it’s all ok. Good luck for you too. Xx
Oh I didn’t realise that. Sadly I started bleeding this morning and doctors have pretty much confirmed a miscarriage again. Not sure I can keep going through it. Xx
