I recently had an ectopic pregnancy in October 2021 and was treated with methotrexate and got the all clear in December. I was allowed to start trying again in March.
This month, I’ve had a feeling since a few days past ovulation that we had been successful, because I just felt different and had loads of symptoms.
I did a test before my period was due (Thursday) and was sure I could see the faintest line but thought my mind was playing tricks on me, anyway I’ve done one today the day I’m actually due (Sunday) and there is a positive line but it’s still faint. I’m now really worried this is another ectopic. (I had a faint line when I first tested with my ectopic)
I’m already so anxious because several years ago I had to have a TFMR at 24weeks and really want to be a mother. I’m 36 this year so worried I’m going to miss my chance and that I will have to wait another 3-6 months before trying again if it is ectopic along with all the other emotions that will come with it.
Im sure the response is wait until Monday and speak to the Drs but I’m hoping there is a chance the faint line isn’t the sign of another ectopic.
And that someone might have a success story to share.
The colour of the line isn’t a true indicator as to how a pregnancy might be progressing, so I would ignore its colour.
You are right to speak to your doctor’s if you are concerned and also ask them to book you in for an early pregnancy scan at around 6 weeks.
Do seek urgent medical advice with and bleeding or pain but I will be keeping everything crossed for you and am sending positive thoughts,
Sending much love,
