Hi everyone,
Recently found out I was pregnant 11dpo with vvvv faint lines on the test. 12dpo it got slightly darker but not much and now they have gone back to being very faint again that you have to squint.
I’m 15dpo today and 1 day passed my period and I’m feeling so anxious and sad that I don’t think this pregnancy is going to end well. My tests with my ectopic were very similar in December.
I called my Dr’s as the EPU wouldn’t take me as a self referral. The doctors don’t seem to be fussed about my faint positives even though I explained that this was similar to my ectopic. I finally got referred by my GP and EPU called to book me in for a scan in 2 weeks time, they didn’t seem fussed about the faint lines either. I can’t help but worry about it as this is what happened last time.
I just feel this so overwhelmed we’ve wanted a baby for so long and I’m so worried that it is going to get ripped away from me again and I’m not sure I will be strong enough to go through a loss again.
Hi Murphy1992,
I’m so sorry you are going through this worrying time. It’s good that you’ve been in touch with the EPU, and continue to ask your Drs. any questions you might have.
I know how challenging this time period can be, especially following an ectopic pregnancy. Yours was not that long ago. As best as you can, I hope you can find ways to look after yourself and take it as easy as possible. With ectopic recovery, sometimes it takes even longer than we think it will. Our sensitivities can be extra heightened since we’ve experienced the trauma before.
These are traumatic events and new pregnancies can trigger old feelings. If you and your partner need extra time, take it. With this in mind, please remember we are here for you at any time you need.
With good wishes,
Michele

Hello
I’m in a similar boat! Faint lines have brought me back to this forums once again.
Have there been any developments since?
I’m 15 dpo and my line is a squint to see affair. I’m lucky enough to have had one successful pregnancy and the line was very strong at this point, its a marked difference. It’s early days but I’m with you in the worry.
Hope you’ve had some good news
Hello,
I am in this exact same position today. Faint lines 10dpo appear to slightly darken, missed my period two days ago and tested today and seems to be fainter than before? Can I ask how you both got on? I have my scan in just under two weeks time and am so worried it’s happening again. x
I had a 6 week scan with a heartbeat and a baby happily in my uterus, all present and correct!!
Trying not to get excited until the 12 week scan but obviously thrilled to be over that main hurdle.
I’ll keep everything crossed for you both. Let me know how you get on xx
Congratulations that is amazing news!! Will do, although not holding out much hope as the line is now vvvvvv faint. Xx
My previous times with faint lines were all just chemical pregnancies. I really hope that isn’t the case for you Adelaide. I’ve at least had relief that they were not ectopics. I realize this sounds kinda punky but I mean to say there can be, at least for me, relief in knowing I’m definitely not exploding.
You’re absolutely right and sadly it was a chemical. Fingers crossed for third time lucky next time! xxx
