Hello, I had two ectopics last year and have one five year old daughter so this would be fourth time lucky.
I tested on Monday which was the first day before my period and got a normal looking line on my pregnancy test. I have definitely not got my hopes up and had booked in for a scan at 7 weeks.
I tested again today 5 days on and the line is very faint - I’m fairly sure that’s not good news. I have felt really strong pregnancy symptoms all week so I’m surprised but just feel really numb at this stage.
As I have 2 previous ectopics, I don’t want to just put it down to being a chemical pregnancy so I will push Early Pregnancy to see me to check HCG is going down but it is a local bank holiday where I am so I’m unsure if they will see me.
Does anyone have any experience of this type of thing being managed so early on?
Dear FeeFee,
I am so sorry to hear your the worrying time you are going through. Home pregnancy test colours are not diagnostic tools for what is happening to our bodies so as you have suggested, I would speak to your doctors when you can. Although I do not wish to alarm you, if you experience any bleeding or pain or feel dizzy and unwell, please seek urgent medical advice.
Sending much love and positive thoughts,
Karen x
