Shoulder pain but not sure

Hi all this is my fifth pregnancy. I have had two ectopic pregnancies in succession and had a tube (right) removed. I then had two miscarriages and decided that my and DH would have a break for a while. I am now pregnant again and experiencing weird twinges in the right side of my belly and shoulder pain and restricted movement in my left shoulder. I recently got diagnosed with shoulder impingment which is what this pain feels like but it started just before I got positive result. Since I have never had an positive outcome in pregnancy am I just being over cautious? Am going to EPU tomorrow but not sure if I should go earlier. My previous ectopic pregnancies I never had pain just constant bleeding and I haven’t bled at all…(except for after intercourse once two days before missed period)

Hi Phoenix_31,

I’m so sorry to hear the you’ve suffered multiple pregnancy losses. I can understand your concern and caution with your current symptoms, and it is very proactive that you will be visiting the EPU tomorrow.

It is important to monitor your symptoms overnight, in the event that they worsen. You can also call NHS 111 if you are having concerns at changing symptoms and if you should be seen immediately. You can also go directly to A&E if you are feeling unwell.

Please take good care of yourself.

Sending you good wishes,

Michele
