Hello,
I’ve had one eptopic pregnancy about four years ago.
But I think I’m going through another one. Im 5 weeks (I think) ive had bad abdominal pain and pain in my shoulder and headaches. My breast are tender but I’ve had no morning sickness or even the feeling of being pregnant.
I’ve had no bleeding as of yet just bad cramping pains. I’d really appreciate some advice
Thank you x
As you’ve had a past ectopic you’re eligible to self refer directly to the EPAU in your area. Explain you’ve had a previous ectopic, and you have significant pain and shoulder tip pain specifically.
If they are unresponsive (mine were great but I think some can be reluctant if you’re not bleeding from what I’ve read online, see you GP.
If the pain is bad do not be afraid to go to A & E or call the non emergency nhs helpline and explain you’ve had a positive pregnancy test, past ectopic abdominal and shoulder pain and they should kick into action.
Dear Natalia44,
I am sorry to hear of the worrying time you are going through.
If you have had a positive pregnancy test and are experiencing abdominal pain, shoulder tip pain, feeling dizzy or unwell it is important that you seek urgent medical advice. I would advise attending your local A&E or calling NHS 111.
I do not wish to alarm you, but it is important that you get reviewed as soon as possible, especially as you have had a previous ectopic pregnancy.
Sending much love and warm hugs,
Karen x
