Second pregnancy possible second ectopic

Hi all,

I am 6weeks and 3days pregnant and started to spot last night after contacting the epu I’ve been told to wait until my scan on Wednesday unless I soak a pad or the pain increases. They also suggested it may not be another ectopic and a normal bleed while the pregnancy is ok …

Has anybody else experienced this second time round? I’m so confused as prior to the bleeding I had no other signs or symptoms of an ectopic unlike last time. It’s going to be a long wait till wednesday :frowning:

Thanks

Dear Eve32,

I am so sorry to hear of the worrying time you are going through.

There are certainly many ladies who experience bleeding in early pregnancy and goo on to have healthy pregnancies.

Whilst I do not wish to alarm you though, if that bleeding becomes heavier or you develop tummy pain, shoulder tip pain or feel dizzy and unwell, please seek urgent medical advice.

I will.be thinking of you on Wednesday.

Sending much love and positive thoughts,

Karen x

Thanks for your reply.

I’ve been bleeding for 2 days now, not enough to have my appointment brought forward so I have to wait until Wednesday where I know they will tell me there is no viable pregnancy I guess I’m hoping they will be able to say if it was another ectopic or a miscarriage.

What a painful journey this is 2yrs of trying and nothing but sadness and grief.

Hoping everything goes well today! Update when you can. Good luck hun!

Hi

The hospital confirmed I had a miscarriage and didn’t appear to be a second ectopic. I’ve had one set of bloods which were so low again they are pretty sure it wasn’t ectopic, now I just have to wait and test at home for a negative pregnancy test. What a week!

Eve32,

So sorry for your loss:broken_heart: wishing you the strength to get through the days, im so sorry i wish i could do more.

Dear Eve,

I am so sorry for your loss, we will be here for you for as long as you need.

Sending gentle hugs,
