Pregnancy 6 weeks after op

Hi all,

I had my right tube removed just over 6 weeks ago and there has been no sign of ovulation, let alone my period.

I’ve been feeling so much better (finally!) this past week and so my husband and I have been making the most of this (I’m sure everyone can understand what I mean here!).

We haven’t used protection at all. It seems so odd to do so when all you’ve wanted is a baby for so long! I know this site says that a pregnancy straight after surgery could come with a higher risk of another ectopic though. I thought I’d check what’s going on and did an ovulation test today, and it was positive. We’ve BD’ed this morning! I have been pregnant twice now (one miscarriage one ectopic) and I’ve always fallen pregnant straight away each time.

Obviously I have no idea if we have conceived, but I’m worried now that I have endangered a potential pregnancy by risking another ectopic.

I will say though that when I had a check up with the lead nurse in the early pregnancy unit I asked when we could start trying again. I asked if I needed to wait until my first period and she said I didn’t and suggested getting on with it straight away as I’ll be most fertile now straight afterwards.

Please could someone offer some advice on this?

Thank you very much
