Little update from me, have had 2 blood tests now- first was 236 2nd was 586- so more than doubled which is really good news- I have a scan on Wednesday to confirm when I will be 5+3 we think… Obviously not out of the woods yet as I’ve has a miscarriage before too, but really hoping we might have scooted another ectopic this time!

Mic1990,

Great news…keeping my fingers crossed for that scan today.

The pain in my tube has got a bit worse and I’m cramping today (5+1). The cramping has been happening for about 4 hours but is mild. Has anyone else experienced mild cramping for that long? Worrying I might be about to miscarry. I think it might be time i give the EPU a call.

Any hope from anyone? Xx

That is great news mic1990, keep us posted with the scan.

Zhovi and 19457, congratulations to you both, I wish you both happy healthy pregnancy.

Kjf- did you contact the epu? Hopefully they can scan you soon to make sure all is OK.

Just an update with me, I still have not done a pregnancy test my period is due this weekend, so I will just wait to see what happens then. I’ve had a little bit of spotting this evening, not sure if its a good sign but I’m trying to be positive about it.

J xx

Last week my Cramping was all day- def give the epu a call, they can likely scan now and if not then blood tests should give an indication. crossing my fingers for you too xx

Hi ladies I’m 5 weeks today. My HCG is being monitored but the last few days I’ve had awful bloating and period like cramping. Anyone else? I’ve had an ectopic and miscarriage.

Hi Ladies,

Hope you are all well with no worsening symptoms. Welcome marmoanie.

Marmoanie - yesterday I had bloating and really bad pain in my right tube (previously had an ectopic there, but they salvaged the tube so it still remains). I can’t help, but wanted you to know I’m feeling similar. I had period-like cramps at 5+1.

I had a scan and bloods today at the EPU. HCG 2000 so have to hope it doubles when my next set are taken on saturday. They could see a gestational sac but no yolk sac on the internal scan. Basically they can’t confirm it’s not ectopic at this stage. They need to see a yolk sac because with ectopic we can still produce an empty sac in the uterus (my HCG never got high enough to see that last time). To be honest I think I’ve convinced myself its ectopic again. The pain in my right tube was really strong all night last night and now feels ‘bruised’ today. I remember the feeling like it was yesterday from my first ectopic, so struggling to see how this pregnancy could be viable. Just hoping it will hurry up and be saturday!

How did you get on at your scan mic1990? Xx

I had a successful pregnancy after my ectopic. I had a lot of pain at tube but it turned out to be a corpus luteum cyst. So don’t lose hope. Best of luck. I’m in Oz. They won’t book me in for scan until 6.5 weeks as they know they will definitely see something then. I’ve known I was pregnant since 3w2d so it’s been a loooooong few weeks!

Ah, I know. The waiting is definitely the worst part! Was your cyst at your ovary or your tube last time marmoanie? Is the tube you had your ectopic in still remaining?

Xx

It was ovary and I still have my tubes.

GP rang me today and told me my levels were pretty decent so recommended going for a scan today. The sac is in the uterus. Too early to see a heartbeat but feeling very relieved it’s not ectopic. Again I had the same cyst.

Congratulations Marmoanie, that’s wonderful news! So pleased for you.

Even though the cyst is in your ovary, does it feel similar to pains in the tube you had from your ectopic? Xx

It’s duller. Not a sharp crippling pain but there a lot of the time and at times can stop you in your tracks. Like a pinch if that makes sense?!

Thanks Marmoannie x

Hello! We had our scan on Wednesday and they saw a gestational sac in the uterus, hcg has continued to double so they’re confident it’s not ectopic yay. Got another scan on Wednesday to confirm.

But nausea has hit big time today which I didn’t have at all with my ectopic or miscarriage and I did have awful hyperemesis with my son.

So it’s a good sign whilst likely the start of something horrible!

Hi Mc1990,

Congratulations!! Can I ask how far along you were on Wednesday when they did your scan?

Hi Ladies.

Congratulations Mc1990, that’s great news! So pleased for you.

I’m a bit of a mixed bag of emotions today. I’ve had another scan which now shows the yolk sac, it’s definitely not ectopic! So relieved. However my HCG is rising very slowly, only 37% in 48 hours, so the prognosis for the pregnancy is not good. They didn’t really say much to me other than come back for a scan in 2 weeks. I’m surprised they won’t take more bloods to monitor it more. I feel like I’ve basically been sent home and told to wait to see if I miscarry and that no one is interested in doing anything to prevent it. I’m also still getting pains in my right tube, but they insist there’s nothing there.

Does anyone have any hope for a slow-rising HCG level? Xx

Mc1990, yay! So happy to hear your scan went well!

KJF, I think it’s more telling when the HCG drops rather than if it rises slowly. Don’t lose hope yet!! I have everything crossed for you and am hoping everything will be okay. Please keep us posted with how you are feeling. Whatever happens, we are here for you!

Can you ask your GP to monitor your HCG? Just explain you’re extremely anxious and you can’t wait two weeks. I get my bloods done twice a week.

I tried to post a link to Babymed but I don’t think it will let me. They have a HCG calculator that I’ve found helpful. Maybe put your numbers in there.
