Hello ladies,
I’ve gone from HCG 4300 to 2 and it’s remained at for the last week. Cornual mass still inside last time between 1-2cm.
I’m still having a ton of pelvic pain from the minute I wake up to the minute I go to sleep…mostly on the ectopic side but twinges on the other as well. Abdominal pain too, however I feel that’s from the stomach ulcers from MTX.
How long did your pain last after you reached <5?? Symptoms? Concerns?
Thanks
How long did your pain last??
Dear LunaDawn,
I am so sorry to hear of your ectopic pregnancy and loss,
Personally my pain had settled by the time my hCG levels had reduced however I then started to feel sharp twinges on the side of my ectopic pregnancy quite regularly.
Pain can be from your body preparing to ovulate and many women experience ovulation pain when they did not before their ectopic pregnancy - including myself. You also may have a heightened perception because of the sad loss that you have had to go through. I suggest keeping a pain diary noting when the pain appears, the intensity on a scale of 0-10 and anything that helps the pain eg resting, hot water bottle, paracetamol etc. Visiting your doctors with this information helps them to assess how best to manage your symptoms.
Having said this, as i am not medically trained, if the pain suddenly worsens, please seek urgent medical advice.
It is still early days since your ectopic pregnancy. Please be kind to yourself, allow time to heal both physically and emotionally.
Sending much love,
Karen x
