One day! - A poem about big brother

There will be a day,

That he’ll know all about you.

One day when he’s older,

When he’s a grown up man.

When his Mum is equal to his friends,

Then that will be the day.

I will tell him how I carried you,

Whilst he wished to be a big brother,

How we wanted to tell him,

That his wish would be true.

But only a few weeks later,

Our world turned upside down,

How whilst I went to the hospital,

They had to take you away.

I’ll tell him we protected him,

Tried not to let him worry,

Whilst the doctors saved his mum,

They had to take away our wish.

One day when he’s grown up,

I’ll tell him all about you,

He’ll be mad he didn’t know,

But hopefully he’ll understand.

That will be the day,

That he’ll know all about you!
