Hello all. My name is Amy, but I will post on here as kyra1moosie (my almost 5 yo DD and my 1st baby- my Schnauzer).
I had my EP on 9/19/05. I felt lightheaded, and kept going to the bathroom, but no blood. This was a Mon., and I had my 8 week appt scheduled for that Wed. We called the dr, and she said to lay down, and call if it got worse.
My dh gave Kyra a shower and got her ready for bed. I got up to go to the bathroom, and fainted. I kept passing out while sititng on the toilet. The 3rd time I passed out, he called the dr again and she said to call 911. Thank God he did. I passed out going down the stairs, and stayed there until the paramedics arrived. The put me on a chair to carry me down the rest of the way- good thing, b/c I passed out again. I remember being brought outside, with dh telliing Kyra that I was going to be OK.
My in-laws and SIL met Kelly at the ER, so they could take Kyra home and put her to bed. I remember speeding in the ambulance with the sirens on- it was surreal.
The ER docs took an ultrasound, and told us that it was ectopic- I didn’t even know what it was. How ignorant you can be when you have 1 pregnancy that was normal.
I was taken into surgery, had 1 tube removed and needed 2 blood transfustions. If 911 hadn’t been called when they were I would have died.
I got to go home on Thurs., so 3 nights in the hospital- 2 w/a roommate. Yuck.
We started ttc in Jan., Feb. and this month.
Thank you to everyone for posting in the forums, esp in the ttc one. It has helped to know that I am not alone.
