Hi all,
I am three days late…I did a pregnancy test it was negative. I’m having shoulder pain, and pain comes and goes near my left and right ovary but also am experiencing discomfort in the middle …
I had ectopic surgery in sept 2018. I’m worried …
if I am pregnant are these pains normal as I had surgery last year … I’m really worried…
I will do another pregnancy test in two days…I’m usually on time!
Thank you… I’m praying it’s all fine …
I went to the A and E the Doctor did a urine test -negative said I missed my period due to stress…
This has never happened to me before…after surgery my period was always on time and I was stressed then …shoulder tipping pain doctor said it can be anything …
Thank you. ( I guess I thought I was pregnant)
Dear Sonia,
I am so sorry to hear of your ectopic pregnancy and loss and of your confusing time recently.
Periods can be delayed for a number of reasons including stress or even (as surprising as it may sound) excessive exercise or weight loss. Doctors normally consider menstrual cycles of between 23-42 days to be within normal parameters. I understand that you have been to A&E and hopefully this has reassured you. However I am not medically trained so if you have not had your period after 42 days, I would advise retesting. If it remains negative, but your pain continues, talk to your GP who maybe able to offer hCG as a blood test which h will be more accurate.
Sending much love,
Karen x

I do hope your ok.
We do know our own bodies better than anyone, so anything untoward does cause concern.
I hope your period comes and resolves your worries but I would keep an eye on things if it doesn’t, especially with you having a previous ectopic xxx
