I just feel like I need someone to talk to that will understand the anxiety.
My periods used to be all over the show, however post surgery for my ectopic pregnancy in August, they have been fairly regular (+/- a day or so).
My period is currently 2 days late. This is based on my Flo app is telling me I’m currently 2 days late and I’m on cycle day 33.
I have been testing and all pregnancy tests are coming up as negative.
I don’t feel how I usually feel coming up to my period but that doesn’t mean much.
I have had a little bit of nausea in the morning but I think this could be done to worry and anxiety.
I have had some heartburn and pain in my ribs.
I have endometriosis and I experience pelvic pain on a daily basis. So it’s hard to know what’s normal and what’s not.
I am so scared of having another ectopic and I’m wondering whether I stop testing and leave it a few days or try and move on. I am so paranoid as I didn’t realise I was I was pregnant initially last time.
I am so sorry to hear of the worrying time you are going through,
Periods can be delayed for a number of reasons including stress or even (as surprising as it may sound) excessive exercise or weight loss. Doctors normally consider menstrual cycles of between 23-42 days to be within normal parameters. If you have not had your expected period, we would advise retesting, using an early morning urine sample in a further week. As you have been TTC, while I do not want to alarm you, if you experience any pain or unusual bleeding, please do get medical attention as soon as you can. If it has been 42 days since the first day of your last menstrual period, please talk to your GP who maybe able to assist you further.
Sending much love,
Karen x

Sorry to hear you’re going through a stressful time. I guess I wanted to say I totally understand the feelings you describe. After my EP last Feb my periods came back regular for a few months, then started changing abywhere from 30 to 35 days a few months later. I’ve been trying to allow myself to test when I’m feeling nervous about dates, but usually the tests have been right and my periods just came later on those months.
Sending some good thoughts your way. I hope you get a reassuring response soon.
I have been experiencing pelvic pain all over but more on my right side (side with remaining tube) and my right shoulder.
Since surgery for my previous ectopic pregnancy in August I have had some shoulder pain that comes and goes but this is more frequent.
I am sick with worry but with previous treatment from local hospital I’m scared to go. Two very faint tests (need to be in daylight) and one negative digital test “not pregnant”.
It can be really overwhelming not knowing what is going on with our bodies.
If you have had a positive pregnancy test and have pain or bleeding, feel dizzy or unwell or shoulder tip pain, we always advise to seek urgent medical advice. If nothing else but to put your mind at rest.
Sending much love,
Karen x
