I’m not in Chch, thankfully (I live in Wellington, near a fault-line). I feel so guilty seeing Chch suffering, as do most of us here, when we know that if there was any justice in the world (and I know there’s not) it should be us.

Glad you are OK, although I see tonight that W has had its own (smaller) earthquake. Hopefully all still OK.

Jill - all still okay! Those of us in Wellington are - perhaps understandably, and perhaps like the rest of NZ - a bit nervous when the ground shakes - and it has a couple of times quite noticeably in the last week - but the newspaper published a graph a day or two ago that showed we had more earthquakes in Wellington in the 10 days before the Chch one than in the 10 days after. We have them pretty much every day, but only feel them from time to time. They don’t call NZ the Shaky Isles for nothing!
