I found out Friday I’m pregnant again! I had an ectopic in July (my first pregnancy) which resulted in having my left tube removed. We decided to ‘see what happens’ beginning of October and got a positive!
We are really happy and excited but I’m sooo scared. It’s completely different this time I have had no bleeding and by this time last time I was in hospital with severe pain. But I’m getting cramps and twinges and pain in my lower stomach and in my lady area (sorry for tmi). I have seen the doctor and she said what I’m describing seems normal to her but I can’t help but worry. I have an early scan on 20th November but that seems ages away!
I just think I’m looking for reassurance from someone who gone through the same thing!
I’m now 17weeks and had really bad cramming and occasionally still do. It’s a good sign that everything is streaching, this is the only pregnancy I have had this and my only so far (touch wood) successful one out of 4 (ep, mac and mc) though it really freaked me out
I’d just like to say thanks for sharing, my wife and I are doing tests tonight as she is now 4 days late and I am like a mother hen around her already. She’s been experiencing the same sort of cramps etc and it’s a relief to hear from Sarah that this seems to be normal.
We had an ectopic last year and it was very touch and go for her so just want to do all I can to keep her safe.
I wish you all the best in your pregnancy, good luck!
Can’t wait to get home and see what the tests say, naturally it will be pokerface and support until such time as we know one way or the other.
only came across this site today, but already it has calmed me down a bit, thanks all.
Thank you so much for your reply. It’s good to know that a few cramps doesn’t always equal an ectopic! I just need to stay off the internet apart from this website!
Well I’m confused. 2 pregnancy tests run last night both negative, one this morning still negative and my wife is now 5 days late for AF. She’s normally as regular as clockwork, so should I be concerned?
Is there anything that could have gone wrong bearing in mind we had an ectopic about a year ago? Is it possible that she could be pregnant but the hormones not have kicked in? She’s still not feeling great and has the occasional stomach cramp and back pain…
Just don’t know what to do - any suggestions at all?
Wow we have the same timing and story, just me left tube was removed. I am currently 4 weeks pregnant. I went to emergency today due to cramping on my right side and was fearful of ectopic pregnancy again. They did a transvaginal ultrasound and they saw my sac in my uterus! I was very worried about another ectopic. So take heart…try not to worry about it. Easier said than done, but the stress is of no use to u or your baby.
