So i just got my first possitive this Monday after missing my period for 3days. Ever since ovulation i have been having painful throbbing/aching on my left side (where my only remaining tube is) It feels just like when i had the ectopic on the other side! I am so scared and worried . I’ve also had some gas pains like last time. I called my doctor but they are busy untill next Wednesday, that’s when they scheduled me for.
With my previous ectopic i found out i was pregnant around 3 weeks and they removed the tube a week later,i was already bleeding internally but it was beginning stages.
Now according to ovulation im closer to 5 weeks. I am so worried by the time i get in it’ll be too late. I also feel like some kind of twisted knot on my left side especially when i turn over in bed or if i use my stomach muscles while turning.
I just dont know what’s going on, i hope with all my heart my baby is okay, but what im feeling makes me think something is wrong…Wednesday is a ways away…i hope i make it till then.
So sorry you are getting those pains and cramps, my cramps are feeling similar to last time and I’m getting worried too. Can you contact your EPU or go there if you are in a lot of pain and concerned? Take care xx
I apologies if I have posted this in the wrong part but wasn’t sure how to create a new chat.
I had an ectopic pregnancy in July last year. I was part of a medical trial “Gem 3” which means I was administered methotrexate and gefitinib (to which I was allergic and reacted horribly)
However by having this treatment my understanding is that my body reabsorbed the ectopic.
I am 3 days late on my period and worked out that I am 4 weeks and 5 days pregnant. I have been having some weird feelings in my lower tummy and mainly on the left side. If I had to score the pain it would score a 2 or 3 out of 10.
I guess because I have had an ectopic before for which I had no symptoms other than bleeding and now having theses aches and pains with no bleeding I’m after a bit of re assurance. I am booked in with my EPU team next week for a early scan but i just have this really bad feeling that I’m not going to get the news I want
Hello Reb22, sorry you are going through the samething.
If the pain gets stronger i will go to hospital. I managed to move my appointment to Tuesday, but don’t know if i can hold off till then. My pain is not intense but its been constant and that has me worried. Im hoping i won’t have to go in to hospital and can just hold off untill my appointment, but im just hoping i can spot the signs if my life where in danger.
When do you have your visit scheduled for? I hope all goes well!!
Sorry you are also going through anxious times, unfortunately we can’t do much but worry and wait untill our appointment. When is yours scheduled for?
I have read about women who have had aches and pains and had a viable pregnancies, i hope that is the case for us. My gut feeling though is that something is wrong. I hope i am mistaken, but for now all we can do is try to comfort eachother untill we know. Best of luck!
Really hope your pain has calmed down and glad they moved your appointment up! It is such an anxious wait, trying to distract myself but so hard! I’m going to call EPU tomorrow and see what they advise! Really hope all goes well on Tuesday!!
@Orangery21 really how your scan goes well as well and that the aches and pains subside! Mine was the same in that I had the bleeding and aches and pains but my ectopic was expectant management. Just hoping all goes well for us all!!
Hey I just wanted to share some positive news in this thread as this is all I had been searching for! I found out I was pregnant just over a week ago, I was having cramps and panicking I was having another ectopic, I had my scan today and they’ve confirmed everything is where it should be. I had convinced myself I was having another ectopic. I really hope everything goes well for you xx
That is such great news, congratulations. Thank you for posting on this thread, and supporting the ladies here and giving hope to so many.
Sending much love,
Karen x

Thank you for sharing your experience! It’s great to hear some good news. Congratulations to you!!
I am a nervous wreck and i don’t think I’ll be able to sleep tonight. I know I probably won’t get any answers tomorrow, since they will probably have to schedule me back for an ultrasound, but just knowing that after tomorrow everything will be different, whether for the better or for the worse, is making me so anxious.
Actually i was not set up for a scan, it was just a visit to establish care apperantly. It didn’t go great. My regular OB was stuck in a surgery so he didn’t show. So another Dr. was covering his patients. She was in a rush and said only a few words to me. " okay i see you had an ectopic last year…when was your last period? … eh ur only 5 weeks, okay come out"
And before i knew it she was out of the room before i could even tell about my pain and concerns. I grabbed my things and rushed out to follow but by the time i got to the front her assistant was waiting for me with lab slips. Apperantly the instructions were to get 2 labs done 48hrs apart and they will call me to let me know what’s next. It was the worst care i have received so far i went in today to get my first round of labs, since that was the soonest appointment i could get, and will go again Saturday for the second. So i will have to wait until Monday to call and get results and further instructions.
Im feeling so frustrated and helpless, dismissed, so many feelings. But what to do? I guess i shall have to wait until Monday .
Ohh no I’m so sorry to hear that, that really is unacceptable! You should definetly put in a comment about that I think its to PALS as they didn’t listen to your concerns at all! Hope your blood tests come back with good news and the next round of care is better! So sorry , know how horrible it is when no one takes the time to listen
So to update. I contacted my OB office with my worries over the weekend and was given an ultrasound for this past Monday. My hcg on Wednesday was 2,000 and i have not received my hcg results for Saturday BUT on my scan Monday we did see a yolk sac in my uterus! I was beyond shocked! No heartbeat yet, but it is in my uterus this time. I was in disbelief and so relieved to say the least. Hoping to see a heartbeat next week
Hope you have been able to get some results Reb22. There is HOPE!!! Keep me updated
Ahh yaay so happy to hear that! I went for a scan today and same! Saw the yolk sac and little baby made it to the right place! No heartbeat yet either but they said its quite early still so have another scan in two weeks! Hope we both have more good news soon! Everything crossed!
That is such great news. Thank you for taking the time to update is all.
Wishing you a smooth pregnancy and sending much love,
