Just need a little reassurance!

Hey

I found out Friday I’m pregnant again! I had an ectopic in July (my first pregnancy) which resulted in having my left tube removed. We decided to ‘see what happens’ beginning of October and got a positive!

We are really happy and excited but I’m sooo scared. It’s completely different this time I have had no bleeding and by this time last time I was in hospital with severe pain. But I’m getting cramps and twinges and pain in my lower stomach and in my lady area (sorry for tmi). I have seen the doctor and she said what I’m describing seems normal to her but I can’t help but worry. I have an early scan on 20th November but that seems ages away!

I just think I’m looking for reassurance from someone who gone through the same thing!

Thanks

Gem xx

Dear Gem

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Whispered congratulations. It is natural to be worried about every twinge and pain when pregnant again after an ectopic pregnancy. It is good that you have an early scanned booked and hopefully this will reassure you. If you do find that you feel unwell or experience any symptoms that worry you (we have more information on symptoms of an ectopic pregnancy here - http://www.ectopic.org.uk/patients/symp … diagnosis/) before the scan, please do go to an Early Pregnancy Unit at a hospital.

Please let us know how the scan goes.

Much love

Hey

Just thought I’d share my wonderful news about my scan yesterday.

We couldn’t ask for better, we saw the little heartbeat and it’s in my uterus.

We are so happy, I feel truly blessed.

Xx

Hi Gem

Thank you for sharing and we wish you all the best for the weeks ahead. Whispered congratulations to you. x
