Hi, this is my first post, i’m driving myself and my hubby a bit crazy so any advice would be great.
I had an ectopic in march this year and had the right tube removed.
Last week I tested positive and the clear blue conception indicator showed 2-3 (meaning 4-5 weeks pregnant). I took another clear blue test a week and 2 days later but the clear blue is still showing 2-3, it’s hasn’t moved on to 3+ (exactly my first clue to my last ectopic before the real awful pain kicked in) .
On top of that I have had some pain on the right side (the side of the missing tube) with the odd small pain on the left.
I have my epu scan booked for Wednesday when I will be 6w exactly and I know I need to wait but I’m going a little crazy worrying. I also got told last week I have a 60% chance of redundancy so I think it’s all just getting on top of me so any good stories to put my mind at ease until weds would be really appreciated. I want to take more clear blues in the hope it moves along but it’s making the hubby cross. I have no control I know that but I’m a control freak so this is difficult all round. Im also paranoid if it is in the right place there will be no heart beat, all because of the clear blue not moving on xxx
Just to add I have no pregnancy symptoms either, no sore boobs, no morning sickness
Hi,
Congratulations on your pregnancy. I also suffered an eptopic in March which was treated with methotrexate and am now on my first cycle of trying again after a 3 month wait. I know the clear blue tests pick up a range of HCG and it may just be that you were at the lower end on the first one and are now at the higher end with the second one. Wednesday isn’t too long to wait so try and stay positive and I hope it all goes well.
Keep us posted.
Xx
Dear 123456,
Whispered congratulations on your pregnancy.
After an ectopic pregnancy, finding we are pregnant again can be a mix of emotions and I can completely understand your feeling nervous. When I fell pregnant again, I felt very scared. This is perfectly normal after the ordeal you have endured. I also felt twinges and aches after my ectopic pregnancy, particularly when I next fell pregnant. My mind started racing and I was only really able to relax to some degree after my early scan. It is a nerve-wracking time and I certainly understand how are feeling.
It is not unheard of to have fluctuating hCG levels in the early stages of a healthy pregnancy and home pregnancy test kits are not 100% accurate at predicting weeks of gestation.
Sadly I do have to remind you to seek urgent medical attention if you experience abdominal pain, abnormal bleeding, shoulder tip pain or bladder or bowel problems.
I know how incredibly hard it is going to be between now and Wednesday for your scan. Try to rest as much as possible,
Sending positive thoughts and much love,
Karen x

Thanks both, Wednesday is getting closer so hopefully all will be okay. The pains aren’t regular or bad, more like little niggles it’s just I think I’ve got a heightened attention to them. Xx
Good luck for tomo… fingers crossed n prayers for u that all goes well. X x
I just wanted to post my results in case someone else is looking at this post following a desperate Google search for answers like I was. My scan today was amazing, a little heartbeat all in the right place. All healthy, the sonographer also said it looked like I had ovulated from my right side which was great news as it was the right tube that was taken! hope anyone looking here for answers has a good outcome too xx
That’s fantastic news
so exciting. Happy and healthy 9 months. Xx
Congratulations that us great news x x
