Chemical pregnancy, history of ectopic

I have got some very faint positive tests with absolutely no progress over the last few days. I’m assuming at this point it’s a chemical pregnancy. Because my first pregnancy was ectopic, do I need to contact the hospital or GP to make sure it’s not another ectopic? Based on how faint the lines are and that the tests are the high sensitivity ones, the HCG must be extremely low. Is it OK just to wait for my bleed to come?

Dear Sunny,

I am so sorry to hear of the worrying time you are going through,

Unfortunately you can still experience an ectopic pregnancy even if hCG levels are low. I would advise seeking medical advice just to be on the safe side.

We will be here for you every step of the way,

Sending much love,

Karen x
