Brown discharge and pain 3 months post surgery

Hi,

Hoping someone might have experienced similar and can offer advice.

Salpingectomy 2nd December after positive ectopic scan.

Usual loss of pregnancy bleed 5 days later.

Normal Jan and Feb 5/6 day periods.

Due on March 1st, now 9 days late with 9 days of brown discharge and some pain around ectopic pain site. Starting to feel full of cold and run down.

Positive ovulation test 17th feb. Negative pregnancy test Sunday, Monday and Tuesday days 34, 35 and 36.

Not actively trying but also not being 100% safe.

Hi CTuck15,

I am so sorry to hear you are going through this worrying time. Your ectopic was still quite recent and its natural to have concerns regarding bleeding, pregnancy, and ttc afterwards. I am not medically qualified to comment on your specific situation. However, I would encourage you to reach out to your GP if you have concerns, you may also want to retry the pregnancy tests in the next few days to see if anything has changed.

In future pregnancies, you can also self-refer to the Early Pregnancy Unit to have early scans, which can offer some reassurance.

Please know that you have a supportive environment here for as long as you need. We are here for you any time.

With good wishes,

Michele
