Advice for frozen embryo transfer?

Hi ladies,

I am going to be having a frozen embryo transfer at the end of the month and I was just wondering if anyone has any advice on this that they could share? I have only previously done a fresh transfer so it is all a bit unknown to me! Anything that you found was useful or anything that can help with your chances?

Thank you

No advice, but want to wish you luck

Hey Jo,

Thank you! I remember you  I haven’t been on here in an age - how are you getting on!? xxx

Hey Angie, do you remember me? We were pregnant together during your fresh cycle! Hope everything is well with you and your LO. Just wanted to wish you luck for your frozen transfer.

Hey Anto! Of course I remember you  feels like an age ago that we were on this board for the first time…! Can’t believe am embarking on it all over again. But it is so worth it. How you getting on?

Hi Angie!

It’s great you’re going again, you’ll have to keep us updated- ill be def looking out for your news!

I’m brilliant, I’m a mummy to a beautiful boy who was born in April after a second go with IVF (1st one ended in mc :frowning: )

It’s just the best and everyday I honestly look at him and am amazed he’s here and that all that nastyness is behind us! He’s a good boy so I’ve been lucky in lots of ways.

Best of luck honey. Xxx

Hi Angie, it does feel like ages ago, doesn’t it?! I still treasure every memories of that time; the negative as well as the positive!

It’s great that you’ve decided to have another go at it. How many frosties do you have?

Me, after taking the hard decision NOT to go through IVF again, and painfully accepting that we would not give a sibling to my beautiful baby boy, I was faced with the gob smacking surprise of falling pregnant naturally! Yes, one tube down, the other blocked and disfunctional…I am 29 weeks now and still have moments when I stop in awe and amazement at the thought of how life beats the odds sometimes.

I wish you all the luck in the world with your cycle, will be thinking of you!

Love,

Antoxxx

Angie

Just saw this post and wanted to wish you tons and tons of luck! I remember you from this board, looking at the date of your post though I’m not sure whether you’ve already had your FET?

Lots of love

Hi ladies,

Thanks for your lovely messages, it is great to hear from you and find out how you are all doing. It feels like an eternity has passed since I was last using these boards! I too, do really treasure the chats I had on here, was such a huge source of support through it all.

I haven’t done my FET yet, I had a cyst last month at my baseline scan so they cancelled it until now. But all looks good so far, so I think all being well I should be having a blasto put back next Monday - wish me luck! Can’t quite believe am here again, but it is much easier without having to do all the stimming. We have two blastos from our first round of IVF so am hoping that one of the frosties takes ok.

Jo - huge congrats to you on your wee boy, that is fab news    So lovely that you have come through all of that and you have a beautiful boy - so about 8/9 months now, which is a great age. My boy is now almost 18 months, I don’t know where the time has gone!

Anto - wow congrats on your pregnancy, that is crazy how things work out. But wonderful that you will have a brother or sister for your son  hope pregnancy has been smoother this time round?

Leah - thanks loads for your message, really appreciate it. I remember you too - hope you are doing well?

Lots of love and hugs xxxxx ((((())))))

Bestest luck honey, I hope all goes well with your little frostie! Im popping in every now and again to check up, so let us know your latest! Can’t believe you little one is 18 months- I remember reading about his BFP!! Are you still in Scotland? If my memory serves me rightly you moved back from hong kong?! Its been a while! Still, best of luck!!

Xxxx

Thanks Jo! Yep I am based in Edinburgh now, moved back from Tokyo. Had to move my frosties back too which was a nightmare! Whereabouts are you? You on fbook? As for my wee boy, you and me both, I don’t know where the time has gone - he is not a baby any more!

Anyway, I am happy to say that my FET went well on Tuesday and have one blasto on board  The 2WW is doing my head in though, constant symptom spotting, knicker watching  But last time round I had really bad OHSS so this feels much easier. Will keep you posted! Roll on test day…

Keeping an eye…

Haha, love it thanks Jo! Well I have mixed news, got my BFP come test day (Sunday) but also getting some spotting. Had a little over the weekend and then some more today (AF due). Not sure what to think really, Dr said it is pretty normal and it is only when I wipe but still massively freaking me out! Had a blood test today and then another on Friday to check levels so will just have to wait it out. I do feel like am properly pregnant, loads of symptoms but then diffcult to tell what is real and what is the hormones am taking… Send me lots of positive vibes please!

Hope all is good with you otherwise?

Whispered congratulations Angie, I have absolutely everything crossed that the blood test will tell you everything is ok.

Thinking of you…

Thanks Anto for your support - should find out in the next day or so, so hoping all is fine. Spotting seems to have stopped and the digi tests I have used say am 4-5 weeks and am 4w2d so guess is a good sign! How are you doing? You must be getting close by now, so excited for you!!

Angie xxx

Hi Angie,

Just wanted to say congratulations!!! So happy for you. Despite my unfortunate situation ‘spotting’ is very normal so I wouldnt worry too much - fingers crossed everything should be fine. Hugs Kim xxx

Hi Kim,

Thanks so much, it is hard not to freak out - the legacy of EP! Think we just cross posted each other. Hope you are doing ok. Hugs back to you!

Angie xxx

Whispered congratulations Angie! I also spotted in this pregnancy (fresh cycle) but know how worrying it can be! Hang in there, sending you lots of positive whatsits xxxx

Hi OB1,

Thanks for your positive whatsits - that put a smile on my face  it is always good to hear from others when they have had similar experiences. And huge congrats to you on your pregnancy - how far along are you? Also if you don’t mind me asking, what and when was your spotting like?

Mine has thankfully stopped for the mo, so hoping that was just because it was around the time of my AF. Also got my blood test results back and it was 2,212! Way higher than I expected at around 4 weeks so holding onto that hope. I never got much above 800 with my last EP so hoping emby is in the right place. Have got a scan booked now for tomorrow am, so fx can see at least a sac in the right place.

I spotted at 8 weeks and 12 weeks - it was brown (with bits of black IIRC - yum!). I’m 32 weeks now and still pinching myself. HCG sounds high so absolutely everything crossed for you for tomorrow. I’ll come back and check! xxxxx
