7 weeks pregnant after ruptured ectopic

Hey friends,

It has been awhile and I’m here to ask for your prayers and hopefully give some hope to others. It has been almost 2 years since my ruptured ectopic at 7 weeks in 2019. My c-section style cut has faded to a barely visible scar and after a year and a half of mental recovery (give yourself and your partner the time you need to recover is my #1 piece of advice!), my husband and I tried for 5 months to get pregnant again and took tests every month.

We succeeded. Once again I am 7 week pregnant. I had 2 blood tests to make sure hcg was rising and an ultrasound at 6 weeks to confirm the location and heartbeat. Everything came back normal and this pregnancy is going just as it should be so far.

I’m thankful, grateful, but also very anxious as I have a hard time trusting my body now. Happy to have this second chance and as I said, send me all your good vibes.

Dear Meggers,

congratulations on your pregnancy,

Sending bucket loads of good vibes…

I know exactly how you feel and your post will resonate with so many ladies on these boards. I was only able to start relaxing after each of my scans and think this is only natural after all we have been through.

I hope the next scan will give you more reassurance and I’m sending lots and lots of positive thoughts,

Karen x
