Hi ladies, I have previously had two ectopics, one tube removed and the other surgically saved. Two days ago I got a positive pregnancy test, my doctors haven’t offered to monitor my HCG levels but have referred me to the EPU for a scan at 6weeks, I should be 5weeks tomorrow. I’m absolutely petrified of having a 3rd ectopic
Dear Baccaallen92,
Whispered congratulations on your pregnancy, I fully understand you feeling petrified after all you have been through.
After an ectopic pregnancy, finding we are pregnant again can be a mix of emotions,it is perfectly normal to feel scared. I remember, I felt twinges and aches when I next felt pregnant after my ectopic pregnancy. My mind started racing and I was only really able to relax to some degree after my early scan. It is a nerve-wracking time and you have a friend here who understands how you are feeling.
Sending you much love and positive thoughts,
Karen x

Hi!
I totally know the feeling and am also currently 5 weeks pregnant! I keep noticing every slight twinge and hoping that it’s in the right place this time! But because this time I’m not bleeding like I did with my last ectopic they originally were not going to scan me until 12 weeks because there wasn’t a real ‘problem’. I’m not normally an emotional person but I think the hormones kicked in and I broke down in tears at the fear of having to wait until 12 weeks so they agreed to monitor my hcg and may do an early scan. I felt stupid for crying at them but feel better that they are at least monitoring my blood levels. It’s just so scary isn’t it!
Fingers crossed for you when you have your scan!!!xx
Hi ladies, congratulations on your pregnancy. Please keep us updated. Sending positive vibes your way. X

Hi Becca. Thank You so much for sharing your good news. I had my tube saved during surgery and I am so afraid of having another ectopic in that tube. This gives me hope Xx
Hello girls
I just had another ectopic pregnancy. First time was in October 2017 they found it on my left tube gave me medication was at around 6 weeks but did not worked, hcg increased then another scan been done at 7 weeks was a heartbeat and bleeding inside so surgery!
I didn’t try to conceive until January 2019 noticed i m pregnant 9 feb bleeding 14feb no real pain but really bad backache went to emergency nothing been done said was too early 4weeks 4 days. Epau appointment 2weeks time. Stopped bleeding 16feb
Then during the scan they couldn’t find anything but this Tuesday sharp pain in lower abdomen went to the emergency stay there until Wednesday midday when finally doctor came and said just need to do another blood test, no need to do another scan because Monday scan showed nothing. I had to insist for having another scan, was still in pain and collapsed 2 times.
Finally they noticed blood around uterus straight to the theatre at least still got my other tube. pregnancy was on the scar from tube removed. Don’t understand how they did the last surgery.
I m sad disappointed and losing hope and so scared to train again.
I m thinking to consult private to check if all ok on the other tube ovaries uterus everything
…
Dear larinca85,
I am so sorry to hear of your ectopic pregnancies and losses. To experience one loss is difficult, to deal with multiple losses is heartbreaking and my heart truly goes out to you.
If you in the UK, I would advise speaking to your GP about referral to a fertility specialist who may be able to arrange further investigations for you.
I understand that it is a worrying time but we do hear from ladies who go on to have successful pregnancies following multiple ectopic pregnancies.
We will be here for you for as long as you need,
Sending much love,
Karen x

Thank you Karen for your message.
I will try to see GP and ask for referral not even sure he will give me letter, you kow how they are, some will say you need to try for 2 years if still not pregnant you can be refer.
But i will call the GP. I also read that acupuncture is really helpful after ectopic.
Thousands of kisses
Xxx
Dear larinca85,
Generally the EPT advises that women under 35 should seek medical advice following 12 months trying to conceive and those over 35 should seek advice after 6 months. As you have had 2 ectopic pregnancies however, I would suggest it is worth asking.
We have more information on investigations after ectopic pregnancy on our website https://www.ectopic.org.uk/patients/trying-to-conceive/
Sadly we cannot recommend acupuncture as there is no evidence base to promote it as a treatment method, however do look into acupuncture if you feel this may help you.
Sending much love,
