Watery discharge after ectopic?

I had an ectopic pregnancy removed by laparascopy and one of my tubes was removed. My HCG has gone down appropriately. I had my bleed one week after the surgery, it was a bit heavier and longer than usual but otherwise normal for a period. At the end, I had lots of watery discharge and I am still having it for a few days now. [TMI warning]: It comes out in big gushes, and seems to happen more if I’m particularly active. It does not have a smell or itch and I do not have pain. I am using napkins because it is fairly heavy, so I can see that it is sometimes barely tan or pink hued. I am absolutely certain it is not urine and I have not had intercourse since the operation so I know it’s not sexual fluids.

Has anyone else had this? Is it just fluid from the healing process on my scars internally? Or is it something else?

I’ve had all kinds of post op weirdness. Not the same as this but definitely worth checking with your doctor!

Dear cherryblossoms3,

I am so sorry to hear of your ectopic pregnancy and loss.

Unfortunately I am not medically trained so cannot give you specific advice on your specific symptoms but as this discharge is unusual for you, I would suggest being reviewed by your medical practitioner as although I do not wish to alarm you, this could be signs of infection.

Sending much love,

Karen x

Hi

I have recently also suffered an ectopic pregnancy and have very similar symptoms.

I’ve had 2 swabs to check for an infection and both came back negative.

Did you ever find out what was causing the watery discharge?

Thanks
