Watery Discharge after Ectopic Pregnancy

Can anyone help?

I had emergency surgery to remove a ruptured ectopic pregnancy about 12 weeks ago which involved one of my fallopian tubes being removed.

I’ve had 2 periods since, the first was heavier and more painful than usual but I was told this was to be expected, the second was fairly normal, it just started a little early.

My problem is that ever since my surgery I’ve been experiencing excess watery discharge and spotting.

It seems to be happening more since my second period and the discharge is coming out in sudden ‘gushes’ and will often have a slight pink or brownish colour to it.

It seems to be happening almost every other day.

I’ve had 2 swab tests to check for an infection but both have come back negative.

I’m at a loss for what to do! - has anyone else been through something similar?

Any messages of support would be greatly appreciated

Hi Jessica210224,

I am so sorry to hear of the worrying time you and your partner are going through. As much as I wish I could give you additional guidance, I am afraid I have no definitive answers as I am not medically qualified. What I can say is that as you have concerns, you are entitled to discuss these with your doctors and even seek a further opinion. You are perfectly entitled to speak to your doctors again (and indeed as much as you wish) about how you are now feeling and seek the opinion of another consultant, too.

With good wishes,

Michele
