I had my left tube removed on 5th September after a bleed at 4wks, followed by blood tests and a early scan confirming ectopic. My blood tests showed that HCG was too high for methotrexate so I had to have surgery. My left tube had ruptured so was removed.
The surgeon checked my right tube and it had a small cyst on it, which they removed and assured me that this shouldn’t affect my future fertility but I cant help but worry that the scar on that tube will cause another ectopic.
I have had one period since my surgery and going to TTC on my next cycle but I am so anxious that ectopic will happen again.
Any success stories after tube removal would be great. Or if anyone else has had experienced having a cyst removed from a tube as I haven’t seen this anywhere.
Hi Hollie777,
The decision to ttc following an ectopic pregnancy brings up so many emotions and questions. After our ectopic pregnancies, we become more knowledgeable about what could happen and this becomes part of our decision making.
Many women feel a range of emotions when they contemplate ttc after an ectopic pregnancy. These boards are filled with success stories of conception after tube removal and even additional ectopics. I encourage you to read through some to help orient yourselves to the possibilities. We will always remember what we went through, but there are very positive outcomes as well.
No matter what your decision on ttc will be, we are here for you.
With good wishes,
Michele
