TTC 4 Months after Ectopic

Hi Girls,

I had a ruptured ectopic in August last year and lost my left tube. We have been trying now for 3 months and unfortunately nothing so far.

I was wondering if anyone else suffers really long cycles since having an ectopic? Mine range from 31 to 36 days. Last months was 36 days so I had got my hopes up thinking I could possibly be pregnant and then the test was negative :frowning:

Also does anyone else imagine pregnancy symptoms i.e. sore breasts, tummy cramps, increased discharge.

I went to see the doctor last month as I was just getting so emotional about the thought of not having another baby as we are so desperate to have a brother or sister to our 2.5 year old. They basically said it was very early days and to try not to get upset / stressed. They advised to go back in 6 months if we are still struggling and they will possibly look at doing further tests and fertility treatment. We have even contemplated having IVF just because we are so desperate for another baby.

We stopped using the fertility monitors and tried not to even take notice of what day of the month I was on. Like everyone else it is just so upsetting and as my dd is fast approaching, it leaves me with less hope that we will catch again naturally.

If you haven’t already join us on the ttc post. You’ll see there lots of us are getting pms symptoms similar to pregnancy ones. I have the opposite change to my cycle and mine have become really short which worries me how that will affect my ability to conceive.

It is such a roller coaster of emotions now!

Thank you butterfly rose, I have tried to stay off here if I am honest just so I am not obsessing over everything, but today has been an emotional one so I’m back on here lol

I will have a look this month for some reassurance xx
