Hi im 29 and really want a baby but I’ve had two etopic pregnancy. One in 2004 I lost my right tube. And another three months ago where I was treated with 2 methotrexate shots. Now I’m 10 dpo and I have this sharp nagging pain on my right side and Don dat leg. And a poping sort of pain on my left lower tummy. Could I be pregnant or could it be another etopic. I hope not cause it’s been really had to take the shot and not be able to hold my baby I felt responsible and I fail. Has anyone got pregnant after they had the methotrexate shot and can someone please tell me if this pain is related to pregnancy. I have a higher sense of smell and some uncomfortable tummy pain not to bad just ah nagging pain.I have an appointment with the doc on Fri but I’m really worried.
Dear Gingerp,
I am so sorry to hear of your ectopic pregnancies and losses,
Unfortunately I am not medically trained so cannot give you specific advice on your symptoms and cannot tell you without examination why you are experiencing your pains.
I am pleased to hear you have a doctor’s appointment on Friday and they should be able to give you more information.
Whilst I do not wish to alarm you if you experience any unusual bleeding, abdominal pain, shoulder tip pain, bladder or bowel problems or feel dizzy and unwell please seek urgent medical advice.
Please also do not blame yourself for your ectopic pregnancies, there is no time frame for how long it takes us to heal emotionally and it is completely normal to feel anxious about the future. We will never forget our pregnancy or babies but we can learn to accept what has happened and crucially understand that it wasn’t our fault.
Sending warm hugs and positive thoughts,
Karen x
