Hopefully this will not be offensive to anyone. One way I, personally, respond to situations like this (having an ectopic pg) is to seek information - tons of it. This is just one way of my seeking information.
If you experienced a tubal RUPTURE, how many weeks pregnant were you? (If you did not experience a rupture, please donât vote and confuse me; just post a response if you like, and Iâll know you made it to x weeks w/o rupture. Thanks.)
I donât really know how far along I was, because I did not know I was pregnant until after the fact, but I think (based on when my âperiodâ started going wacky) that I was probably 8 weeks.
How many weeks pg were you when your tube ruptured?
Well I have voted in your poll and wanted to add that I was 14 weeks - we have had people here claim to be 16 weeks with a tubal pregnancy though there are only two we can verify and if the pregnancy was interstitial (cornual) then it might go even further before itâs discovered.
There is a lot of research out there - proper peer reviewed stuff thatâs been designed and controlled that shows women most commonly complain of symptoms of ectopic pregnancy between 6 to 8 weeks and rupture of a pregnancy in a fallopian tube most commonly occurs between this time frame also

I thought that sounded like about the right âcommonâ time frame, but I couldnât find anything. I guess Iâve been looking in the wrong places.
no rupture 4 me bleeding but no pain at 6 weeks had scan and bloods at bout 6weeks 3days low hcg slowly diping and rising internal scan showed a dark blob in tubeâŚalthough afterwards the doctor told me looking at the scan photos he thought it was a miscarriage with tissue stuck to the side of my tube and said i didnt need any treatment but offerd me meth i took the meth as i was soooo scared and confused sorry 4 rambling xxxx
I ruptured at about 8 weeks or so ( I wasnât keeping tabs on my AF at the time). I had one treatment of methotrexate. My levels dropped from 2500 to 64 in a couple weeks. Then ruptured when I was teaching in the north and had to be flown to hospital for laparotomy.
I didnât rupture but my ep wasnât diagnosed until I was 9 weeks.
I did spend 3 weeks before this going up and down to the hospital and I was even admitted at 6 weeks only to be sent home without any extra check apart from a scan, but because I didnât have the classic symptoms, there was no way I was having an ectopic!!!
On the day of my surgery the surgeon said I was very lucky not to have ruptured before hand and they think the only reason I didnât was because I was stationary the day before as I was in bed in hosp waiting for my lap and possible operation.
Mine ruptured at 6 weeks. The surgeon told me the lab told him 4 and it had implanted in a part of the tube that doesnât expand well. However, AF didnât arrive on time, a week later I called the docâs office, a week later they did two ultrasounds, and 13 days later I was in emergency surgery. HmmmâŚI count six weeks in there.
Has anyone else been told part of the tube doesnât expand as well as the rest?
1st EP - no rupture, had surgery at 6 1/2 weeks to remove Right Tube. 2nd Ep was in stump of right tube, ruptured at 5 1/2 weeks, HCG levels approx 4000.
Started bleeding and then a few hours later cramping as well on May 30, 2006 - at exactly 6 weeks. Had HCG test the following day (a Wednesday), and two days later on Friday, so doctor could compare the results at Friday appointment. HCG went from 476 to 472. Scan showed corpus luteum and enlarged uterus, but no baby anywhere. Diagnosed as miscarriage, but told to get bloods done again Monday to make sure not EP.
Monday HCG was in the 600âs. Advised to come immediately for metho shot. Metho shot at exactly 7 weeks - levels to zero within 3 weeks.
