Hi all,
I had a ruptured pregnancy on November 18th and as result left tube removed. Symptoms - twinges on left side and spotting the day of rupture strong colic pain. I was 8 weeks at time of rupture (I did one pregnancy test on day of expected period it was negative and then I had period) so I didn’t do another test as I thought I was not pregnant due to period.
I didn’t read forums until recently as I felt the donation given my doctors was very vague they did not tell me I couldn’t try for three months. So on 18/19th December I ovulated as detected by opk and then I received my first negative pregnancy test on 23rd. It’s now just over two weeks after ovulation I have tested positive twice. Can this be ectopic or it seems like good signs of pregnancy? I have booked doctors for Tuesday. But wanted everyone’s experiences etc
Hi lk2018x,
A whispered congratulations on your pregnancy. As I’m not medically qualified, I am unable to comment on your specific situation. However, it’s very good that you have a doctors appointment booked. As well, I would remind you that you are able to self-refer to your local EPU for an early scan (around six weeks) for additional reassurance.
As your ectopic pregnancy was quite recent, I’d continue to encourage you to allow yourself time for emotional and physical recovery. While the Trust advises waiting three months to ttc after an ectopic pregnancy, sometimes this duration is shorter. However, it’s still important to give yourself the time and space for recovery that you may need, and throughout this time, we are here for you.
Sending my best wishes,
Michele

Hello,
I’m so sorry you have been through such trauma.
A whispered congratulations.
I have no advice but I’m currently in a similar situation. I had removal of my tube on 28th Nov and I’ve now had two positive tests. I ovulated around the 16th Dec. I’m in shock. When I had my period return 4 days after surgery the hospital said it couldn’t be possible but I knew it was.
Calling the Early pregnancy unit in the morning (perhaps go to them rather than your Dr?) I was told I should to straight to them and not GP when next pregnant.
Before my ectopic surgery I had a negative pregnancy test. I’ve now had two positive ones just like you. I’m praying it’s a normal pregnancy.
I have no idea what to think/ expect. I’m sending you so many positive vibes and love. Good luck!
Whispered congratulations to you too!
Early pregnancy unit would not see me

Mrs gee, I had my scan and saw heart beat, in 6 weeks and in right place hope yours goes well!
Congratulations! I am so pleased for you.
I cant wait to for Monday to get here, so hopefully I can see the same!
Best of luck for a healthy pregnancy x
Sorry I didn’t see your post above.
Yes last scan they saw it was in the right place however when I had my ectopic I had a twin pregnancy one in uterus and ectopic so I’m praying I havent the same again and it just wasn’t to early to see an additional one in tube. However it was an extremely rare occurrence, so unlikely. I feel good pregnant though so fingers crossed!
I think this is going to be the longest 9 months ever!
Goodluck! Xxx
