Question re Ovulation

Hi Ladies,

Not sure if anyone can help me here, or if anyone will understand what I am saying! Not sure I do myself!

I had my ectopic in January, still feeling the emotional pain of it but easing with time. I find it really hard the week AF is due when I feel very hormonal and emotional! I had a partial left tube removal.

I have been lucky so far in that I am having regular 25/26 day cycles with my fertile window occurring from about 8 days after period. AF has arrived today but my query is can you ovulate twice in one month??

I started my fertile window around the 14/15th May. on the 21st May I noticed I had very stretchy CM like, VERY stretchy and clear so I assumed I actually ovulated on this day. So if your period arrives 14 days after ovulation then why is my period early? It actually isnt early according to my regular cycles but how could I have the CM like that 12 days ago and start mt AF today??

As I said I am not sure if anyone will understand my question here!! If your AF arrived 14 days after ovulation then I would have ovulated on the 19th May, I did have very clear signs of ovulation on that day also but then 2 days later even more.

is it possible I could have released two eggs within a few days of each other?? I dont even know if this is possible, if it is I will be annoyed as my partner works away 5 weeks away then 5 weeks home so we missed a fab chance of ttc!!

Hope someone can help me here, sorry if I sound daft, just things dont add up!

Thanks

Leanne xx

Hi Ginge,

I really sympathise with the emotional roller coaster you are on right now and that desperate feeling not to come on your period each month.

It is possible to ovulate more than once in a cycle and it is also possible that we don’t ovulate on the same day in the cycle each month. Without having seen your signs of ovulation it is difficult to speculate on whether your body just gave build up signs or whether you did ovulate twice.

Even though your husband was away, sperm can stay alive in the body for up to 7 days so if you have sex just before he goes then you do get a weeks worth of chance while he is away. It must be so frustrating for the both of you while he is away.

Best wishes,

Thanks host…well he is away for 5 weeks at a time and normally goes before ovulation occurs! It definitely is a rollercoaster but I am really trying to stay relaxed and not been so focused on pregnancy but it is very hard! My partner was due home just in time for ovulation but now will be delayed so that is another window we have missed!! But hey what can we do its his job and we cant change that so have to learn to live with it!

Thanks again x
