Positive Test - Really Worried

Hello,

Just looking for some advice.

Last weekend (03/03/18) I got a BFP. I had an ectopic in November '17, the “Mass” was removed via surgery, they managed to save my tube, which I am grateful.

However, since finding out I am pregnant I am feeling every twinge and cramp. I am really scared that it is going to happen again.

I have made my appointment with EPU and they have me booked in on 16th March for a 6 week scan.

My question is:

Has anyone else had cramps/twinges in their lower abdomen during early pregnancy and so soon after their ectopic? Was the pregnancy healthy?

I just want everything to be ok, and my fingers are crossed that come next week I will be reassured that there is a viable pregnancy.

Thank you for your time

Hi hun… I’m in the same boat. My ectopic was treated with MTX and this time I am feeling every twinge, cramp, pain and it worries me! I have a scan this Friday 16th when I’ll be 6+1 and hopefully in the right place! I’ve been doing the CB digital weeks indicator tests and I got my 3+ today which suggests hcg levels of over 2000miu which is way above what I had last time!! And I have plenty of pregnancy symptoms this time! Cramping and twinging it all normal from stretching… I’m trying to ignore them and pray for my scan!! Keep me posted how yours goes aswell xx

Hi girls! I’m in the same boat too! Had my ectopic in dec 17, happy and scared that I got pregnant so quick! My scan is this Monday 12th I’ll be 6weeks 1day, so nervous, but I definitely feel different this time, had some twinges but thev been in the middle and not to one side so hopefully alls ok, praying for you girls too xxx

Dear Charlottie1990, Gem-Lea, Lily123,

Whispered congratulations on your pregnancies,

After an ectopic pregnancy, finding we are pregnant again can be a mix of emotions and I can completely understand your feeling nervous. It is perfectly normal to feel scared after the ordeal you have endured. I also felt twinges and aches after my ectopic pregnancy, particularly when I next felt pregnant. My mind started racing and I was only really able to relax to some degree after my early scan. It is a nerve-wracking time and you have a friend here who understands how you are feeling.

Whilst I do not wish to alarm you, I sadly have to remind you that if you experience any unusual bleeding, abdominal pain, shoulder tip pain, bladder or bowel problems or feel dizzy and unwell to seek urgent medical advice.

Sending you all much love and positive thoughts,

Karen x

15 dpo hcg was 26

17 dpo 59

Im so worried praying i will carry this baby and hold baby in my arms.

Im so anxious and dont know how i will get through the next week.

Any updates?

I’m having some pain now my hcg has been looking good. I will go get pain checked tomorrow. Hcg should be high enough to detect pregnancy by then.

Hi ladies,

I found out too I am pregnant this week so around 5 weeks. New year’s eve last I was rushed into hospital with ectopic pregnancy and lost my left tube. Am so surprised and feel so lucky it’s happened so quickly for us but undoubtly worried. My midwife has said I wouldnt have a scan at 6 weeks and would be at 12 weeks… has anyone else been told this? Good luck ladies, it’s so nice being back on here for the support xx

Congratulations Charlottie1990, Lily123 and Gem- lea - and amazing to hear you know yours is in the right place Lily123, good luck Charlotte 1990 and Gen-Lea! I am also pregnant and am wondering what all of the symptoms and twinges mean! More2Come, I was interested to hear that you had your HCG levels taken so early - I have been wondering whether to go to my EPAC clinic to see if they will do mine. My doctor told me it would be too early when I was 4 weeks. I had some alarming pains last week and some cramps on Sat. Also a little cramping about an hour ago. As Easter is coming up I am worried if I wait til later in the weel they wont be able to as they will be closed. What did you say to your clinic that had them test your bloods - any advise appreciated! If anyone else has any thoughts they would also be welcome!
