Hi,
In June, I had my right Fallopian tube removed. Recovery time was pretty good and physically I felt back to normal.
However, the past few months I am experiencing pelvic pain (on both sides) and lower back ache constantly. This seems to be heightened when on my period and ovulation, although the pain is there most days.
I have had an ultrasound, bloods, urine and stool samples. I was also referred to a gynaecologist who doesn’t seemed concerned but could not give me a reason why I’m having this pain. I have been prescribed pain relief for 12 weeks.
Has anyone been in a similar position?
Thanks.
Dear felgi,
I am so sorry to hear of your ectopic pregnancy loss and continued discomfort.
Pain around ovulation is something we often hear of post ectopic pregnancy. I do not believe there has been any research into why it happens but many women, including myself, will experience abdominal discomfort post ectopic pregnancy where they never had before.
It is good that you are being thoroughly investigated and I would continue to take your medications/pain relief as directed. I hope you will get some answers but, many of us haven’t found a reason for it, I’m sorry to say.
Sending much love,
Karen x
