Ovarian Cyst

Hello everyone,

First time posting, been a silent member since 2018… That’s when I had my ectopic, I was 8weeks (unplanned), my right tube was raptured and had to be removed!!! Ever since then I have been experiencing terrible abdominal pains, went back to my gynae he first told me that it’s hormonal imbalance and prescribed some contraceptive pills… which I took for a few months.

It’s been a roller coaster ride

FFWD in October last year I started experiencing these pains again and went back to my gynae and now was told that I have ovarian cyst and it will go away on it’s own, I wasnt happy with his response I went to see someone else and that is where I had all sort of tests done and was told I had pelvic infection and we treated that. But today… the pains came back and rushed to my dr & he told me that the cyst is still there hence am in so much pain and to my surprise I was again given contraceptive pills and some painkillers (because this is caused by hormonal imbalance).

I am really scared as I am not sure what should be the next step now, I am really confused and feel like at this point in time I am ready to have a child…

Please help!!!

Dear Mickey0419,

I am so sorry to hear of your ectopic pregnancy and loss and the difficult time you are going through.

Sadly I am not medically trained so cannot give you specific advice on your ovarian cyst.

I have more information on ovarian cysts here

https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/ovarian-cyst/

But would advise speaking through your concerns with your medical team.

Sending much love,

Karen x
