Not sure how to feel

So after coming to acceptance and completely wrapping my head around the fact that I had my right tube removed due to an ectopic pregnancy (5 months ago) and that the odds were against me from that and turning 40 in 4 months……. I took a pregnancy test and it was positive. I’ll be honest I’m so scared and dreading going for bloodwork to check my hcg levels this Friday and the following Monday followed by an ultrasound in a week. I can’t help but think of anything that could go wrong. I’ll be honest I’m thanking God every step of the way for giving me a second chance and praying everything will be better than good. I’m sure I’m not the only one who experiences these feelings and if anyone is having these same feelings please know you are not alone

Hi Momof2,

Whispered congratulations on your pregnancy,

After an ectopic pregnancy, finding we are pregnant again can be a mix of emotions, and I can completely understand your feeling nervous. It is perfectly normal to feel scared after the ordeal you have endured. My mind started racing, and I could only relax to some degree after my early scan. It is a nerve-wracking time and you have friends here who understand your feelings.

With good wishes,

Michele
