I had an ectopic December 2023 and I was only 5-6 weeks ended up ruturing and in emergency surgery losing my left tube
I’m now 5 days late on my period, I’m never this late and I’m freaking out. I read it’s rare to test negative with a ectopic but I’ve honestly hit so many rare things gynae wise I wouldn’t be surprised. I am under the fertility clinic but don’t want to waste their time if it’s nothing.
I have:
No sign of period.
Stitch like pains, right side.
Thick milky discharge
Almost burning pain in tummy(weird)
Negative tests even on 10mlu tests.
I’m just a confused and anxious and really don’t want to go through this again and being this late is not normal for me
What are the chances this could be an ectopic although I’m testing negative?
Thank you for nay advice or stories xx
Dear Kirstyvic,
It would be unusual to have an ectopic pregnancy with a negative pregnancy test. Periods can be late for a number of reasons, including stress, as silly as that sounds.
I would advise seeking medical advice as you have unusual vaginal discharge and tummy pain.
Best wishes,
Karen x
