My story

Hello everyone. I am 36 years old and my first pregnancy was going good until I reached 7 weeks. Started having period type cramps and a couple spots of brown blood. Cramps went away but came back the next night, but worse. Went away again and returned 2 days later. By then I could hardly stand up straight and couldn’t walk. My husband rushed me to the emergency room and within 4 hours I was in surgery. It was ectopic, in my left tube. I was devastated. While in surgery, the doctor tried to save my tube but it wouldn’t stop bleeding so she had to remove it. It has now been one week and 3 days since my surgery and the emotional impact is just now hitting me. I’m so glad I found this site, it has really helped me begin to cope. No one can understand the feelings you have unless they have been through it. It’s an awful feeling. But my belief in God and prayers are helping me. I also found comfort in this site on the topic of pregnancy after ectopic - reading those success stories brightened my mood. I pray I will be able to get pregnant again in the future. Thanks for listening to me - this is helping me.
