Hi there.
I’m trying to find out if gassy gurgling on the ectopic side is normal after the methotrexate injection? This is my 2nd ectopic occurrence with methotrexate and the first time I required two injections. I’ve been on top of doctor getting blood tests done every 48 hours for last two weeks and even though Hcg was increasing within the “normal” ranges except for 48 window it was verified ectopic via second transvaginal
Ultrasound yesterday.
I hope this helps others. I’ve diaried my symptoms as well as Hcg numbers.
Positive test 10/11. 3 days past normal cycle start
10/12 Hcg 161
99% increase 10/14 Hcg 321
54% increase 10/16 Hcg 495. 10/17 - small Brown discharge - dime sized
88% increase 10/18 Hcg 931 small wipe of brown mucus
33% increase 10/20 Hcg 1249 spotting of red blood 3pm
Continued Brown blood when wiping. Twinging left side and right. Ultrasound- small growth 8mm detected left ovary but inconclusive of gestational sac
80% increase 10/22 Hcg 2256 no bleeding, twinge uncomfortable tightness on left side
Ultrasound - confirmed ectopic in left ovary 2.6cm
Methotrexate 80mg administered on left- clammy, nausea, passed out, injection pain, gassy gurgling on left side. Tightness left side.
I received 80mg yesterday on my left side where ectopic pregnancy is located. I’ve been experiencing gurgling on that side.
I’ve had a tightness on left with cramping but very slight. I’m terrified of rupture.
I also discovered and wanted to share… green tea baths. I know low folate diets are to be followed and green tea intake is very important to aid in the methotrexate effectiveness in stripping the folic acid from your body.
What I found- steeping 5-6 green tea bags for 15 minutes then adding to bath. Soak for at least 20 minutes. Your skin is able to absorb more than merely drinking tea. Hope this helps others.
