Hello. I was wondering if anyone has any similar experiences. I had surgery in April to remove an ectopic pregnancy. We were advise to wait a number of cycles before trying again. My first 3 (and only) periods post surgery were about 40 days apart (a little longer than my ore ectopic periods). It’s now almost 8 weeks since my last, I’m not pregnant. But wondered if anyone had anything similar. It’s the first cycle (if I can call it that) we’ve not used protection so obviously the lack of period is a bit stressful.

I am so sorry to hear of your ectopic pregnancy and loss.
Periods can be delayed for a number of reasons including stress or even (as surprising as it may sound) excessive exercise or weight loss. Doctors normally consider menstrual cycles of between 23-42 days to be within normal parameters. As it has been more than 42 days since the first day of your last period, I would suggest asking your doctors to investigate further. Also, while I do not want to alarm you, if you experience any pain or unusual bleeding, please do get medical attention as soon as you can.
Making the decision to begin trying to conceive is an emotional rollercoaster compounded by our sad loss. Again, you are not alone. We here emotional support whenever you need us.

I did see my GP who if I’m honest treated my like a teenager with a slightly irregular period. I’ve since contacted the EPU directly who have arranged a consultation with a specialist. Hopefully they’ll be able to help x
Please am having problem with my period since after my surgery its only come for just a day or 2 instead of normal 3 days and am trying to conceive pls what do I do and what can I take pls help
