how long?

Hello, I had surgery on the 11th June where they removed my right tube. When I left hospital they gave me no discharge infomation at all. I desperately want to start trying again but me and my husband definitely want to wait the recommend amount of time. But I just wondered how long it look for your first period to arrive?

It’s been 3 weeks now and I had very minimal bleeding after surgery. I just want it to hurry up so I can move on from all of this!

Thank you xxx

Hi cobblers, I had my right tube removed on the 11th may. Hope you’re doing ok. I was told to wait for 2 cycles. I had a small bleed after returning home for a few days which was told it isn’t a period But due to hormones as not being pregnant anymore. I then went on to have my period 2 weeks later and have got my regular cycle back. Everybody is different though. I read on here that some take up to 2 months. I have a regular 28 day cycle. Was your cycle regular? I was also told to do a pregnancy test a week after my surgery to make sure the HCG hormone had dropped. I didn’t thought as I got my Af on time.

Hope this helps xx

Hello Charlie

Thanks for replying to me.

I’m sorry about your loss and hoping your dealing with it as best as you can.

It’s been 4 weeks exactly today and I feel like my period is due I have all the usual signs for me feeling emotional and a bit sick. So hoping it’s just around the corner! Iv never wanted a period so much!!!

My periods are always very regular 27 days. They never told me to take a pregancy test I don’t think I will I’m hoping my levels would be down by now.

Will you be trying for a baby soon or are you going to wait?

It does help thanks a lot

Hi, I’m good thanks. For the first 4 weeks I was in shock and emotional about it and worried about seeing people in case I got upset. Now I’m back to work and in my normal routine I feel fine. How are you coping with it all? ive waited 2 cycles and will start TTC again now. I’m 38 and feel the clocking is clicking very loud! It was my 1st pregnancy and had been trying for a year, so very disappointing but I’m staying positive and trying to relax as much as possible. I’m lucky to have a very supportive husband. Which has helped me enormously.

What about your plans? I’m sending you lots of baby dust and wishing you a happy journey for the future. Xxx

Ah thank you so much and same to you aswell I wish you all the luck and baby dust. I’m sure you will get pregnant again and this time it will be fine!!

Iv suprised myself actually the first week was terrible, however I’m very lucky to have been blessed with my 2 year old daughter and I think having her around has just made me get on with things! Been back to work for 2 weeks now however I only work 2 days so that’s been fine. I’m 28 so don’t feel pressured about time but I feel so guilty towards my little girl as I so wanted her to have a brother or sister and the thought of not being able to give that to her makes me feel so sad.

You sound like your doing really well keeping positive is one of the best things we can do!!

I’m sure you will fall pregnant very soon!! I will keep a look out on here for when you get your BFP!!

Having a good husband is so good for you, mine is the same although sometimes I don’t think they fully understand which is hey talking to you girls on here is great!!

Just think this is a really exciting time for you and I can’t wait to start trying again.

Keep smiling and I wish you the best of luck!!
