I was heavily reliant on this forum (and helpline) last summer when I went through an extremely traumatic ectopic - weeks of uncertainty and then finally methotrexate.
When we were thinking of trying again I combed this site to find good news stories - so thought I’d give you mine!
2 months after starting trying again I found myself pregnant; was obviously terrified up to the first EPGU visit but thankfully, it was in the right place this time! I was so focused on the 10-15% chance of recurring ectopic statistic I didn’t expect good news.
I’m now 9 1/2 weeks with a healthy little foetus and have first midwife appointment on Saturday…eek! Obviously it’s still early days but we’re excited.
It’s such a scary time but hope this gives some hope that there is light at the end of the tunnel! Obviously head asap to your EPGU upon finding out you’re pregnant, and keep and eye out for those ectopic symptoms - but also have hope! You will get there.
A huge congratulations!!! It’s so reassuring to hear positive success stories, we’ll be trying again in a few months and I was treated with methotrexate too. Keep us all updated
