Hi all,
I sadly had an ectopic pregnancy, resulting in surgery and a fallopian tube removal in Feb this year. I have had my first period and signs of ovulation since. And am currently due my next period.
I am getting severe hip pain on the side where my tube was removed, and wondered if this is usual with people on my position??
Sending you all lots of love xx
Dear Roly,
I am so sorry to hear of your ectopic pregnancy loss.
It can be common to experience pain following ectopic pregnancy when we didn’t before. Unfortunately there is little research into why.
The discomfort can last for some time and we would suggest monitoring it over the next 3 months. Keep a diary of when you experience the pain, how long it lasts, how severe it is out of 10 and if anything helped. Speaking to your doctors with this information, can help them plan if any further management or investigations are needed.
As pain is so subjective and we cannot provide individualised medical advice, we would always advise to seek medical advice with any concerns or if your pain is worsening.
Best wishes,
Karen x
