Hi all
Hoping someone might be able to help me feel abit better.
I had an ectopic pregnancy back in September 2018, and had my right tube removed as it was too far gone and i was in alot of pain, fast forward to monday just gone, i realized i was 5 days late, i thought it was abit strange as i had all my normal triggers of a period on the way aka my boobs swelling and hurting, constantly feeling like i was about to start my period, so i took a test and was shocked when it came out positive, didnt quite believed and ended up taking a further 4 tests through the evening and following day, and behold all of them coming out positive, i was shocked. Made an appt with the doctor and have been referred to the early pregnancy unit, they worked out im just over 5 weeks, got my first early scan next week to see if little bean is in the right place this time, IM STRESSING OUT ALOT, im so scared, nervous and anxious for this scan, im trying not to worry about it too much, but i feel like i also have every right to be scared, please can anyone give me any advise, i know its only next week ive got to wait till, but it seems so far away at the moment. My partner is getting more and more excited each day and im trying to remain the more netural one out of both of us, and ive said to him not to get too carried away as i dont want him to end up breaking his own heart, i am excited and so so so hopeful that everything will be ok, but too many emotions going on right now
thanks xxxxx
Hi teddybear123,
A whispered congratulations on your pregnancy. I know what an anxious time this can be, and it’s very normal to have a mixture of feelings with subsequent pregnancies following our ectopic experiences.
I’m not medically qualified to comment on your specific case, but it’s good you have an early scan booked next week. It can be a very helpful marker of where the pregnancy is currently residing and may help to provide reassurance.
I know it’s incredibly difficult to do (easy to say), but do your best to look after yourself, stay calm, and take this period slowly. We are here for you anytime and for as long as you need.
With good wishes,
Michele

Hi,
I hope someone wud be able to help me with this anxiety I m going through.
I had an ectopic pregnancy in right tube just at the juncture of ovary n tube…It was last November and had to go through laproscopy on 8th Nov… I was 7+ weeks pregnant that time…
Fortunately, my tubes were saved and milking of tube was done…
In December I got HSG test done which shows that right tube is functionally blocked but my doctor said that HSG report is not always accurate because sometimes tube goes into spasm n so it shows blocked in HSG test…
I m again planning for pregnancy and so underwent follicular study this month to confirm the ovulation.
It was confirmed on 8th day of period this month that I m ovulating from right side…
Doctor has asked me try to conceive naturally on the day of ovulation…
I m really anxious if again something goes wrong cuz I m ovulating from right so it wud again go in the right tube…
Fingers crossed…
Someone please help me if u ve gone through same situation…
Is it possible that left tube wud pick up egg from right ovary? Or right tube will only pick?
I m really worried…n want to do that what should be done in order to avoid ectopic again in right tube as I m Ovulating from right ovary…
