Hi Toni.
That’s great Arielle is sleeping so well in her own bed now. And even better if she’s waking and then going back to sleep.
Poppy isn’t doing too badly. She’s been sleeping 7-4/5 some nights and other nights she might wake for a feed around 2 and then sleep until 6. Although last night she was up 2-4 she did sleep until 7 when she went back to sleep. I hope that doesn’t happen too much when I’m back at work.
I’m not surprised you felt poorly after a whole bottle of prosecco - I used to be able to have that much but definitely wouldn’t now. I have my works Christmas party in a few weeks and my husband will be looking after Poppy so will be nice to have a few drinks. I also have my husbands too in two weeks. We’ve been trying to get my Mum to give Poppy a bottle and settle her to bed so we can go but she just screams when my Mum tries so not sure if I’m going to be able to go yet.
Have you tried mixing a little amount of fresh orange juice in some water for Arielle - my friend swears by that for her little boys constipation.
Keeponhoping - I can’t believe it’s been 8 weeks already.
The first set of immunisations are definitely the worst and they do get really upset but lots of cuddles will fix that. I hardly slept that night as I was so worried about Poppy but she slept fine.
You definitely do get used to the night feedings - I wake up every 2/3 hours still now even though Poppy usually sleeps until at least 2am. I can’t imagine sleeping for more than that in one go ever again, maybe when she’s 18.
I can’t believe it will be Christmas soon, in one way I’m excited as I love Christmas and it’s Poppys first but also a little apprehensive as once it’s over I’m back at work and I just can’t imagibe being away from Poppy at all at the moment.
I hope everyone has something nice planned for the weekend. X
