It’s that time of year again, drawing ever nearer… Time brings distance, but we still hurt for what now can’t be, and probably will do for a long time to come. Pregnant friends and work colleagues, new babies, happy for them all, but reminders of what can’t be. Last weekend your Dad and I hugged and cried, it’s a sad time of year leading up to the anniversary, but equally beautiful with autumnal glow…

Hello little one, I didn’t come here on the 5th anniversary to reflect, but you were in my thoughts a lot in the lead-up to that time… 5 years, and it can all be as fresh and real yet surreal as yesterday.
As well as your soft, fluffy cloud and the warmth of the sun, enjoy the season’s colours, the birds, nature… it’s all a part of you… and I’ll wave to you as you peek into our bedroom at night, a shimmery shiny star high above.
