I’ve just had my 6 week scan and they found a pregnancy and a heartbeat (yay!) However they also found fluid on my pelvis so have booked me in for a scan in 2 weeks. The nurse explained its probably nothing and my pregnancy is looking extremely positive but there’s a very small chance of the fluid being a sign of an ectopic as well as a pregnancy. They could see my left ovary was clear but struggled to see my righ ovary completely.
I am trying to focus on the nurse saying its very rare and fluid in pregnancy isn’t uncommon and resolves itself. In the last year I’ve had an ectopic pregnancy and a miscarriage so I’m a bit nervous! Any words of encouragement or calm welcomed
Congratulations on your pregnancy, being medically untrained I do not know about the fluid reviewed but the medical staff would have seen this before I’m sure. If they think it’s looking positive, hold on to that thought.
I will be keeping fingers and toes crossed and am sending positive thoughts,
Much love,
Karen x
